When Shug approached Advin Marketing, he had just launched his new laser cutting business having ran a successful bollard business for over 10 years. We completed a free business review of his new business and looked at ways we could increase market share.

During early discussions, Shug advised that he’d spoken to other marketing companies and was told he’d need to spend $10,000+ which was well over what he wanted to spend (and could afford). This is where Advin Marketing was able to help.

After completing the business review, Shug had an awesome little business and brilliant products but didn’t have a website or any active social media accounts, as well as no real idea how to get the word out there about his great business. This is what we came up with:

When Shug approached us, he literally had zero social media presence. This was one area where we knew we’d be able to help.

We created a full social media start up service for Shug’s business including the set up of accounts with Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and LinkedIn.

Although our initial focus was going to solely be on using Facebook and Instagram, we also created YouTube and LinkedIn pages free of charge.

Shug now has a strong social media presence and generates lots of leads through these platforms.

Social media management

With zero social media presence, it was important for Shug to build his Social Media brand. Using Advin Marketing and a customised weekly (and targeted) social media subscription service, we have built Shug’s social media profile.

As a result of this, Shug now receives many leads. Not only that, when a client clicks on his Social Media pages they see a professional page with loads of information and photos on what his business can offer.

Our Social Media Management service includes a weekly update email so Shug can monitor progress.

6 weeks after our partnership began, Shug was looking at alternative ways to introduce new clients to his business. Through discussions and learning’s from Shug, we decided the best approach would be to start a low level Social Media Advertising Campaign.

As a small business Shug didn’t want to spend thousands of dollars here, which is what most of the other advertising agencies were proposing. Through Advin Marketing, we were able to create a campaign on a low level (costs detailed below), and targeted advertising campaign using Facebook and Instagram.

Doing this generated new leads and sales for Shug’s business. Also, this helped grow followers to his Social Media pages as well as generate leads for other areas of the business which weren’t advertised. win-win!

After a 2 week Low Level Advertising campaign, we were able to determine the next step. The benefit of starting with a low level advertising campaign was two-fold. Firstly, because Shug was a start up business, he didn’t have a huge budget to spend on advertising. Secondly, by going low level, we were able to determine what worked best and what we could target specifically for the Advanced Advertising Campaign.
 
Our recommendation to Shug was to do a $10 a day Facebook advertising campaign focusing on his Dog Metal Art pieces. These pieces garnered the most interactions and comments on Social Media posts and generated the most interest during our Low Level Advertising Campaign.
 
The impact of this campaign was immediate. We launched the campaign on a Friday afternoon to attract the weekend audience. Within 24 hours the campaign was so popular that during discussions with Shug we decided to double the advertising budget to $20 per day. After 2 weeks, the end results were a minimum of 1 sale per day and numerous enquiries both through the website and messages on Social Media.
 

RESULTS

When Shug first approached Advin Marketing, his goal was to make his new laser cutting business his primary source of income so he could slowly move out of the bollard business.

Within 3 weeks of creating and managing his Social Media pages, Shug was already starting to receive as many enquiries per week for the laser cutting business as he was for the bollard business.

After 2 months, the laser cutting business was receiving more enquiries and generating more sales than the bollard business. Within less than 3 months, Shug has gone from a Start Up business with zero exposure to a profitable business generating 100’s of leads and minimum daily sales of products.

Within less than 4 months Shug Laser Cutting is generating 100’s of leads and is averaging 2 sales a day. By doing daily Social Media Posting, we were able to determine which of Shug’s products was most popular and which products we could therefore target for advertising.

Through his partnership with Advin Marketing, Shug can now move out of his bollard business and focus 100% of his time on his new laser cutting business.

All achieved in less than 4 months!
